Laziness

I'm too lazy to update my blog and when I want to update it, the website I use to create the slideshows of my kits isn't working :(

Well anyway I have been taking a break from Inori as it was very tedious work puttying and sanding, puttying and sanding, puttying and sanding every single day.  I'll get back to work on her soon.

While I was taking my break I built another kit, Necoco:

Hello strangers

Damn it's been a while since I've done an update.  Well let's see what's been happening:

• I'm still a type 1 diabetic (yes the bad kind) T_T lol
• I'm still running from zombies 5 days a week, around half an hour or so 4 days and a 1 hour run during the weekend.  I'm slowly building up to running an hour each time during the week rather that starting out running for an hour, that's how I sprained my ankles a few months ago.
• Some more work done to Inori, her photos have been updated and as always larger photos are on my deviantart page.

To any of you interested in listening to a podcast about garage kits I highly recommend GK Talk with leona & Seraph Very informative and very funny.

Progress

I've made some more progress with Inori. Currently I'm just focussing on the skirt rather than working on different bits and pieces. It will more than likely take longer this way but I'm enjoying it and it means I don't have to think about that damn hair.

Frustrated

UGHHH!!! I keep starting and stopping work on Inori. Trying to build the back of her hair is just really frustrating. That book I have doesn't show anything about building the back, just the front part of a kits hair. So I'm just going to leave that part for some other day and work on easier parts. New photos uploaded and can be viewed in the usual other places, DeviantArt and twitter.

Back to work

I got back to work on Inori yesterday, so much work to do.  I've uploaded a few new photos to the inori page for you to drool over.

Sorry there have been no updates for a while now, let's just say I have been feeling a little under the weather.  Hopefully I will be back to working on Inori soon.

Still working away

As you can see in Inori's gallery images I'm still working away.  I have to say I was a bit terrified to cut off her shoulders so that I could reposition her arms but with a bit of skill and a lot of luck I think I did a good job.  She still doesn't look like Inori, I'm just getting the big changes done first then I'll more on to the smaller details that will make her Inori Aizawa and not Takamori haruka.

(The No Longer Secret) Custom kit

Well since I've told everybody else who the new kit is going to be I may as well let you know too.  I will be custom building Inori Aizawa, the mascot of Internet Explorer.  This is going to be one tough job but I've wanted to build her ever since seeing her video:

Super secret resin kit mod starting tomorrow

Don't get too excited, I will just be sticking my Takamori Haruka kit in a tub of oxi to clean off the release agent :)  This project is going to be a lot more difficult than my first custom job but it will be great experience plus the creator of the character wants me to keep them updated on the progress of the kit and considering who they are, I should get more exposure :)

Time to relax

Well as you can see, I have finished my Seras Victoria kit (more pics in the gallery).  I'm gonna take a wee rest while I get more reference pics for my next kit which will be another (more complicated) custom job.

Still doing my running with the Zombies, Run! app which I recommend to anyone that likes zombies and wants to get into better shape.  According to the app I've ran over 50km which I find quite amazing :D

Getting there

New photo of the Seras Victoria WIP uploaded. Not much left to do, mostly hand painting, then seal, shade, seal again and put her together. Oh yeah, and fill the gap between the back and front hair once I put it together, sand it, prime it and paint it. Still doing my running with the Zombies, Run! app, which has gone down in price again for a couple of days. Ran just under 5 km today, I haven't ran that far since I was a child. I'm definitely going to keep it up as I love the story and well it's getting me into shape.

What I've been at

Well I started painting Seras Victoria a couple of days ago (pictures have been uploaded).  Since I used grey primer for pretty much everything I have to paint the skin areas white first before painting the skin tone.  It is a pain in the ass painting one coat, letting it dry a bit, painting another coat, letting it dry a bit... but the lighting is crap in my work room so it's hard to see mistakes on white primer plus I have a load of grey primer and only about half a can of white.

I started running about 3 weeks ago using an app called "Zombies, Run!", it's a great app where you have to run and gather supplies (automatically) while helping a town grow.  At random times you will be told that there is a zombie horde chasing you and you will hear them groaning and a beeping sound that will get faster as they get closer.  To outrun the zombies you run 20% (I think) faster than your previous 2 or 5 minutes for about a minute.  The story is great and it's only about £3 at the moment.  If like me you're wanting to shed those holidays lbs I would highly advise you get it.  Available for both ios and some android devices.

I had to stop running after Monday last week as I hurt my ankle, I don't know if I've sprained it or anything, I'm too stubborn to to go to the doctors but if I'm still in pain tomorrow then I'll definitely be going on Friday to see what I've done to it, plus see what the hell this weird pain is that I'm getting in my hand every morning.

Back from my break

I'm finally back to working on a kit, photos have been added to the WIP/Gallery section.  Just a reminder, my photos of Cerion should be up around the end of February, start of March.  I'll probably have Seras mostly finished by then.

To those that read my blog, sorry it's been so quiet for the past month.  I've been both busy and lazy, I started working on Seras Victoria last year but then got lazy and wasn't in the mood to work on her.  I'll be getting back to work maybe next week.  She's a very easy kit, especially compared to the custom build kit I was commissioned to build so she shouldn't take as long to build and you won't have to wait months to see her after she is finished.  

Hope you all had nice holidays and ate maybe a bit too much :)
